Hosts Greece celebrated a clean sweep in the Seniors Group competition at the 8th Aphrodite Cup held in Faliro Olympic Indoor hall, winning both the apparatus finals on Sunday, March 13, last day of the tournament, following their victory in the All-Around competition.
The Greek Group amassed 30.400 points with the 5 Hoops and 29.800 with the 3 Ribbons + 2 Balls, finishing ahead of USA and Kazakhstan respectively.

Pan-American All-Around champion and Olympian, Evita Griskenas was the protagonist in the women’s apparatus finals winning two gold medals in the Clubs and the Ribbon. The Chicago, IL native added a bronze το her tally with her performance in her routine with the Hoop.
Daniela Munitz, a 2022 Ribbon European Junior champion on home soil in Tel Aviv, proved she has the capacity to succeed in the women’s category as well, starting her senior campaign with victory in her rourine with the Ball at the 8th Aphrodite Cup.
The fourth discipline, the Hoop was dominated by Bulgaria’s Magdalina Minevska who achieved the best score of the apparatus finals with 32.560.

Amalia Lică of Romania was a class of her own in the Juniors’ apparatus finals winning three gold medals – in her favourite Clubs event, the Ball and the Ribbon as well, plus a bronze in the Hoop.
Israel’s Alona Tal Franco, a European Junior bronze medallist in the Hoop last year in Tel Aviv, emerged victorious in the same apparatus in Athens leaving Cypriot Vera Tugolukova and Lică behind her.
